After the success of our toy drive to help a critically ill child earlier in the year, Chicago Force has decided to start a drive to collect books, comics, and magazines to send to the MWR (Morale, Welfare, and Recreation) departments of ships stationed in the Persian Gulf. We ask that you look through your old stuff and find something to donate. It will be a long while before a lot of them are back on U.S. soil, so sending them something fun to read will really brighten their day and show them that we are all thinking of them. Regardless of your position on the war, we ask that you still support those who are out there in this thoughtful manner.

We will be making our first collection at our April 26 book club meeting, although arrangements can be made to pick up your donation if you cannot make it out there.
