On Sunday, March 24, Chicago Force met at Zephyr Cafe to discuss our plans for the coming few months, including Star Wars Celebration II, the City and Suburban Episode II Lineups, and many more events in the Summer of Star Wars. We also took pre-orders for our fabulous new t-shirts!

Chicago Force Meets for Games, Lunch, and Hobbits
As we enter the Year of the Clones, Chicago Force had our first event of 2002!
On Sunday, January 13, at 10:30 A.M., we headed to Gameworks to video game to our hearts’ content. We blew up a TIE Fighter or two and flashed our vents at Sebulba.
After that, we ate at Bennigan’s, We’ll also discussed the many events for the coming year, including Capricon 22, Star Wars Celebration II, and the line for Star Wars Episode II.
We then proceeded to Loews Theatres at Streets of Woodfield, for the 3:40 P.M. showing of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.
Life Day Party
On Saturday, December 8 at 7 p.m., Chicago Force had a very special Holiday gathering. We congregated at the new McKinley Park home of our own Bosh Talk and we ate, drank, and were merry watching recent Star Wars TV spots. We also had a Star Wars grab bag!
Chicago Force at the Hidden Fortress
On November 30, as we all wait for the next installment of the Star Wars prequel series, we viewed The Hidden Fortress, the 1958 Akira Kurosawa film that inspired George Lucas’ space saga. The film was shown as part of the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs’ International Dinner and a Movie film festival. At 6 p.m., a Japanese-themed dinner was provided by Designed Cuisine, followed by the film at 7 p.m., which featured an introduction by Jonathan Rosenbaum, the film critic for the Chicago Reader.
Chicago Force and the Sorcerer’s Stone
On Friday, November 16 at 8:00 P.M., Chicago Force gathered for the opening night of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone at McClurg Court Theater because the first long theatrical trailer for Episode II will debut before this film
Chicago Force Windy Con Dinner
On November 10 at 6 p.m., after spending the day at Windy Con in Schaumburg, Chicago Force went to dine at The Cheesecake Factory. With the convention featuring such guests as Kevin J. Anderson and Rebecca Moesta, plus the excitement over the many Episode II trailers this month, we had a lot to talk about.
Chicago Force Monsters Inc. Viewing
On Friday, November 2, Chicago Force gathered at the South Barrington 30 theater to view the 8:00 P.M. digital presentation of Monsters, Inc.and got our first glimpse of the next Star Wars film as the Episode II teaser precedes the film.
Chicago Force TPM DVD viewings
We love you guys so much, we had two Phantom viewing parties on October 20/21 weekend. On Saturday, October 20, at 2 p.m., Chicago Force watched have a Phantom Edit viewing at the home of Toby Markham in North Park. Toby dressed as Darth Maul during the 1999 McClurg Court Line and has one of the most elaborate Star Wars collections in the Midwest, including a life-size Han in carbonite, Boba Fett, all the saber replicas, a life-size Jawa, and much, much more.
On Sunday, October 21, at 2 p.m., our own JediJeff Wilk hosted a DVD barbecue in Plainfield.
Chicago Force Great America Outing
Chicago Force attended Six Flags Fright Fest on Saturday, October 6. We rode rollercoasters! We ate funnel cakes! We had fun!
Chicago Force Lakeside Picnic
Chicago Force met on on Sunday, July 29 at 1 p.m at Lincoln Park Zoo near the seals for a picnic potluck.
