- Yummy stadium food!
- Game time!
- Mark is so enthralled by the game
- *sigh*
- We waited it out for a while…
- …and eventually the game restarted. We stayed through the 6th inning, Cougars up 4-0, and left around 9:30-10pm.
Meet us on the First Base Line Lawn to watch some Minor League ball and stay to enjoy the Star Wars Fireworks afterward.

The Chicago Symphony Orchestra performed the music of John Williams at the Grant Park Music Festival at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion. It was a beautiful night.
Here’s the program:
And the encore was Excerpts from E.T.
Here’s some photos:
And to cap the night off, the fireworks from Navy Pier could be seen:
This year’s Joliet Library Star Wars Day was bigger than ever. This time, the Rialto was added to the locations you could visit. Each location had different groups to visit.
First up, the Rialto. The R2 Builders Club and the Mandalorian Mercs made this their home.
Next Up, the Library. The 501st were based here. The main area was upstairs, with a Cantina, radio broadcast and Artist Alley.
Last Up, the Historical Museum. This is the hidden Rebel base. The Rebel Legion had set up their own Endor Bunker here. All three floors of the museum had fun stuff to do, including a scavenger hunt.
All in all, a very fun day! Looking forward to next year!
Chicago Force will be going to the Joliet Star Wars Day 2017 on Saturday, June 3rd at 11 a.m. Check it out on Facebook for all the event details!
It was a Hoth-like Sunday. But a few of us made it past the first marker and saw and talked about Rogue One.
As is now a tradition, we came up with our favorite lines from the movie:
Anything K-2SO said.
“I am one with the Force. The Force is with me.”
“Are you kidding me? I’m BLIND”
“Rebellions are built on hope.”
“Are we blind?”
Winter arrived the weekend of the Tree Trim, but that didn’t stop Chicago Force. We came, we trimmed, we ran to Tropic World as soon as possible to warm up. Check it all out!
And here’s Tropic World:
It was a beautiful night for a ball game! The Kane County Cougars took on the Peoria Chiefs. The Cougars won it in the ninth and then the Star Wars fireworks started. A great game, and a great night.
